Ballroom dancing at the famous Blackpool Tower should be high on your bucket list if you’ve ever dreamt of gliding across a grand dance floor.

If the glitz and glamour of numerous television programmes has inspired you, there is no better place to indulge your passion.

This legendary venue has been a symbol of elegance, grace, and timeless tradition for over a century, attracting dancers worldwide.

Plan Your Visit

Before you dig out your dancing shoes, you need to plan your visit to avoid disappointment.

The ballroom is not open every day, and there are set times when you can expect to see the mighty Wurlitzer Organ!

You might be surprised to learn that you have to pay to enter the ballroom, but the stunning architecture and ornate decor ensure there is plenty to see.

You can stay as long as you wish, but there is no re-admittance once you leave.

Afternoon Tea at the Ballroom

To ensure you have a table, it is recommended that you book afternoon tea at Blackpool Tower.

Otherwise, at busy periods you may find there is nowhere to sit, and you may be restricted to the balcony area. This does offer stunning views of the dance floor, but you won’t be able to participate, only to watch.

The tea itself is an experience, and you can work off the calories afterwards, when you take to the floor!

There is no specific dress code in the ballroom, but many people do make the most of the occasion with gorgeous costumes.

Don’t forget to visit the other attractions too, including the circus and Madame Tussaud’s.

The combination of live music, beautiful surroundings, and the joy of dancing makes this a truly unique and memorable adventure, the perfect addition to any bucket list.
