This is the ideal option if you don’t have enough confidence to take on solo roles, or have never sung in public before. And now it’s easier than ever before because many TV shows have popularised the idea, leading to new choirs across the country.
Join a Rock Choir
Rock Choirs have become increasingly prevalent and present the opportunity to join like-minded people with the advantage of being taught by a professional. They offer free taster sessions, and you won’t have to audition or be able to read music.
Don’t be fooled by the name, you won’t be performing full-on heavy metal, although certainly there will be some rock songs in the choir’s repertoire.

There are plenty of resources available online to help you find a local choir, and social media platforms are a good source of information. If you prefer a more formal type of choir, you could make enquiries at your local church.
