What to do
Of course, if you want your letter to really make an impact and kickstart the change that you’re looking for, then there are a few more things that you can do. First of all, try to meet your MP so they know you and recognise your name when your letter arrives.
The vast majority of MPs are active in their local area and run constituency surgeries and other meetings that any member of the public is able to attend.
The second thing you can do is to recruit others for your cause. 10 letters are more effective than one and if your representative can see that many people in the community are behind your campaign, they’re much more likely to work hard to implement the change that you’re looking for.
